Insurance of the Rich and Famous

[Facebook] [Twitter]

If you think that the rich and famous are not that different from the rest of us, then you should think twice and definitely read their insurance claims. If regular people insure their house, car or their life, celebrities are a bit more specific when it comes to establishing the insurance claims. Who has not heard about Tina Turner insuring her fabulous legs?

When clients wants to cover extraordinary possessions, such as high value luxury items, collections or body parts vital to their livelihoods, they do not just drop into the local insurance office and sign on the dotted line. Instead, an individual might purchase a separate insurance claim, often called a rider, to cover the item. The insurance agents who work in this area often develop a special talent for troubleshooting and problem solving, which comes in handy when policies are customized for out of the ordinary insurance claims.

One example of out of the ordinary insurance claims is a pop artist who specialized in street art insisted on insuring his eyes for one million dollars, because they gave him his unique artistic vision on life. With some body part policies, there is no real risk for the insurance carrier. More often than not, there are so many exclusions in the policies, it would make a near perfect insurance claim situation to make it pay out.

However, there are people who make insurance claims on their homes, cars and other assets. Probably the one for which people decide to take on insurance claims on their cars is the risk of having an accident. Car crashes are very common, and when such an event occurs, you will need to file the insurance claims as soon as possible to get the money you need to repair the vehicle. The whole process of closing an insurance claims deal is a piece of cake and is accessible for everyone, regardless of the financial costs involved. So why not insure what you cherish the most and rest assured that nothing can go wrong?

Ridiculous Insurance Claims

[Facebook] [Twitter]

Nowadays, you hear more and more people talking about insurance claims. If you do not know what are insurance claims, you should learn that they are actually requests made by customers to insurance companies, when various things happen to them and they want to collect the money on their insurance policy. While in most cases, the insurance claims are reasonable, insurance companies tend to investigate the reasons behind them thoroughly, because throughout the years, they have had some ridiculous insurance claims as well.

One of the most ridiculous cases of insurance claims happened when an old man lost his teeth during a cruise, because he vomited over the side of the ship. As a result, he made a claim to his travel insurer, for new dentures, stating that they were ‘under lost baggage’. Then, one of the most ridiculous, but also hilarious cases of insurance claims was the one of a man who, distracted by a couple of girls in bikinis, walked into a bus shelter and broke his nose. The hospital bills were paid, though, by the insurance company.

While on holiday, two children buried in the sand the video camera of their parents, because they did not want it to get stolen. Unfortunately, they did not remember where they had buried it, but luckily for them, the insurance company paid for it. Even if this falls into the ridiculous insurance claims category, we must admit that the kids had good intentions. Ridiculous insurance claims are also made by people who love their car too much, like two men who filed a claim because the paintwork of their car was damaged, after a heard of cows licked it. Unfortunately, not all of the ridiculous insurance claims cases are also funny.

For example, a couple were on holiday in the beautiful Malaysia, but they were stunned after they returned to their home and discovered that monkeys had broken in and had stolen their clothes. They found them scattered through the rainforest nearby, and the insurance company paid their claim. Another family made some ridiculous insurance claims after their tent was ruined by a parachutists who landed on their equipment, but they were not that lucky, as the insurance company did not pay out.

The Use Of Insurance Claims

[Facebook] [Twitter]

Insurance claims are formal requests made to insurance companies due to various reasons. When insurance claims are filed, people are asking for some payments to be made. All insurance claims must be reviewed by insurance companies, and if the claim is made under the terms of a contract, that has previously been signed, the payments will be made as soon as possible. After the insurance claims are reviewed by a company, the money is paid to the requesting party.

Insurance claims can cover a large variety of situations and people can decide to pay for insurance for various reasons, including life insurance policies, health exams and much more, and in most cases, the person who has the insurance will also be the one who will be able to form the insurance claims. The insurance claims must be filed before all types of payments start being made to hospitals, car repair shops or other forms of services. Individuals can take numerous types of insurances, from health to life, car, home or possessions insurances. When accidents happen and people realize that their finances have been very much affected by the events, they issue insurance claims to receive money from the insurance company.

Filing insurance claims will not be hard at all. What you need to do is to talk to a local representative of the insurance company you have been working with and fill in the application. In situations of this kind, an agent will have to check into the claims and investigate if all details were properly mentioned. A doctor or a repair shop, or other similar recognized authorities, can also file the insurance claims. However, the individual will be the one to decide if the insurance should be used or not. For example, in a car accident, a car owner can decide to not file insurance claims if the damage produced is not very serious and the other party has agreed to pay for it. In most cases, after an insurance claim is filed, an investigator from the insurance company will be sent on the field to find out all the details. The case has to enter under the coverage of the insurance for the costs to be paid after issuing the insurance claims.

Crazy Celebrity Insurance Claims

[Facebook] [Twitter]

Having an insurance is something very common today, advisable even. People get insurance so they can protect themselves, their families, their homes or their assets. You can never know when things can go wrong and when something may happen to you. I guess this is the principle after which the celebrities are guiding themselves, as many of them have some crazy insurance claims.

Some of the most outrageous insurance claims are held by Mariah Carey, David Beckham and Jennifer Lopez. Mariah Carey has the most expensive pair of legs in the world, if we may say that, insured for no less that one billion dollars. Next in the list is the English football player David Beckham, who decided to insure his legs and feet for the incredible amount of 70 million dollars. We may say that this is acceptable, considering that his legs and feet are the ones that gain him so much money every year. Jennifer Lopez has one of the weirdest insurance claims:  her bottom in insured for…27 million dollars. It is hard to imagine how would her bottom be seriously harmed in an accident, but it is her decision so perhaps she knows better.

Rod Stewart’s voice is insured for six million dollars, Dolly Parton’s breasts for 600.000 dollars, Gene Simmons’ tongue for one million dollars and America Ferrera, the actress which starred in the famous television series Ugly Betty, insured her teeth for 10 million dollars. Other crazy celebrity insurance claims are made by David Lee Roth, whose semen is worth one million dollars, by Shirley MacLaine, whose fear of being abducted by aliens is insured for 25 million dollars, ‘just in case’ and by Keith Richards, who insured his – believe it or not – middle finger, for 1.6 million dollars. These are some definitely crazy celebrity insurance claims!

Tips for Making An Insurance Claim

[Facebook] [Twitter]

The reason that you make insurance payments on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis is so you will have protection if you are involved in a situation that requires it. If you do find yourself in this type of situation, the key to getting the protection that you need is filing an insurance claim. While this can seem like a daunting task, when you have more information about what you actually need to do, you’ll find that completing this process isn’t nearly as difficult as you originally thought.

Prior to making your claim, you need to make sure that you truly understand what is and isn’t covered by your policy. The biggest mistake people make is assuming that a specific situation is covered by their policy, only to discover that when they go to make a claim, what they took for granted isn’t actually covered by their policy.

If you know that you’re covered and you have a claim that you need to make, it’s best to do it sooner than later. Being proactive and filing the claim means that you will be able to get the ball rolling in less time. Whether the claim you’re making is for your home or your car, it’s important to get more than one estimate for what it’s going to cost. Although this will take extra time, it’s a step that’s well worth doing.

Throughout this process, the most important thing you can do is documenting any and everything. If something is in any way related to your claim, make sure you document it. This means plenty of pictures and lots of copies.

Progressive Insurance Claims

[Facebook] [Twitter]

Ever since I first started driving at the age of 16, I've always been hesitant about having an insurance company. It's not that I don't like the idea of having someone to back me up in the event of an accident, it's just that I never trusted insurance agents. I had always heard these horror stories about people that got into accidents and their insurance providers wouldn't pay out because of some technicality. When it came time for me to move out of the house and start paying for my own insurance, I shopped around as long as possible until I could find the most friendly and honest insurance company in my town. It was Progressive Auto Insurance.

I stayed with Progressive for a few years before anything happened to me accident wise and when I finally crashed, I was glad I had Progressive. I made an insurance claim with them and almost immediately, they had one of their agents back on the phone with me to sort the whole thing out. They have a website where you can establish claims as well, but I'm more of an over-the-phone kind of guy and figured it would be best if I called. But considering the speed with which they got back to me about my accident, their online service may be pretty damn good as well. Their website has a claim tracking system as well that lets you type in your claim number to follow its progress through the entirety of the incident. If that's not service, I don't know what is.

Going through the insurance claims process may be difficult for some people. Luckily for those with state farm insurance, they are very lenient and offer many great incentives to stay accident free. Many of the times, people who have shown exceptional driving skill can get away with a minor accident with their accident forgiveness program. Drivers who unfortunately do not qualify for this credit will still be able to retain a lower premium than most other companies charge, if they have stayed a certain period of time without an accident. The increase could still be substantial, especially if the person who got into the accident was a young driver.

The claims process can be simple for many individuals who need to claim for an accident. Calling is one of the options and talking with a representative to discuss the accident as well as what needs to be done to receive the claim is important. Another method is by direct contact with state farm through one of their local representatives. These visits can help you to understand what you need to provide to receive the insurance claim for your vehicle in the event of an accident of the type which is covered by your insurance company.

The best options to look into are also available online to contact state farm. The team of professionals on hand can help you online through live chat or email correspondence. This helps prevent being over charged for repairs as well and is useful to many drivers nationwide.
